Playing Volleyball for Fun and Fitness

Do you play volleyball? Or have you seen it and thought “That looks fun!”?

We are a group of players who meet up once a week for a couple of hours to play volleyball, work up a bit of a sweat, and have a load of fun, all at the same time!

We don’t belong to a league, and our aim is a more social environment, rather than intense competition. However, many of the players also belong to teams who do play more competitively, and we do take part in friendly matches now and then. If enough players are interested we have been known to enter local tournaments on occasion.

New players are always welcome – the more the merrier! If you would like to give it a go, just turn up for a free taster session.

We play in mixed sides, and our abilities vary as much as our ages! Don’t worry if your skills need a little development – one of the more experienced players will always be on hand to give a few tips and a bit of coaching to help.

The group meet at Thornbury Leisure Centre, every Thursday evening from 6 to 8pm.
